The Garden Days in May 2018
"Belgium's must for all garden lovers"
The forthcoming edition of the Beervelde Garden Days will take place on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of May 2018 from 10 am till 6 pm.
What are the Beervelde Garden Days?
This event takes place twice a year, each second weekend of May and October . During these weekends, more than 220 nurserymen, designers and artisans exhibit, for the public's pleasure and enlightenment, probably the most spectacular variety of plants and garden-related ware one could hope to see in Belgium. It is worthwilementioning that prices of the plants are definitely lower in Belgium than in England or France.
Established as the country's most outstanding garden festival, Beervelde attracts thousands of visitors from all parts of Belgium and abroad. The show's success is due to the high standard of displays and the quality of the exhibitors' stands, but above all due to the very special atmosphere that prevails in Beervelde.
In fact, Beervelde pioneered in Belgium a fresh way to discover plants: in the open air and in an exquisite setting - quiet, congenial and elegant. Since the very first show, Beervelde has gained and retained the reputation of "Belgium's must for all garden lovers".
The theme for this edition
Beervelde is also particularly attractive because each time (twice a year) the Organizer creates a new theme, which is worked out by the participants.
For this Spring Edition our guest region is "Hauts-de-France ', a combination of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy.
We like to take you on a little trip to Cap Blanc Nez and the Opal Coast, the floating gardens of Amiens, the Château de Pierrefonds (which seems suspiciously like the Castle of sleeping beauty), the Château de Chantilly (known for its garden days ' and ' the Cream Chantilly), the Department Aisne, where you can find the grave of Vincent Van Gogh. For those among us who like sweets, don’t forget the famous "bêtises de Cambrai".
But of course, as usual, Beervelde will have much more to offer:
Animation and demonstrations
Presentation of new books
